Fire Protection Hybrid Systems are a dual agent fire extinguishing system, for use in water-sensitive facilities, designed for Information Technology Rooms such as data centres and power generation plants.
The hybrid system incorporates liquid (water) and inert gas (nitrogen) extinguishing agents discharged together from a single emitter, causing two extinguishment mechanisms to occur simultaneously: cooling and oxygen reduction.
The system is fully compatible with automatic hazard detection systems and is adaptable for remote manual activation if required.
These fire extinguishing systems have many benefits including it being more economic and environmentally friendly due to low footprint and low utility requirements. The system also has a Quick system recharge, meaning minimal downtime.
The hybrid of fine water droplets and nitrogen efficiently absorbs heat and reduces oxygen to extinguish fires resolving issues inherent in most other systems for facilities with contents that could be destroyed or rendered inoperable by water damage.
